What the heck is frozen custard?

It’s a super dense and smooth soft serve ice cream made with milk, cream, sugar, and egg yolk just like other premium ice creams. The star of the show is the special frozen custard machine that gives it a great texture without whipping in a lot of air. It’s also important to eat it fresh for the best texture, so we make it in small batches all day.

Frozen custard dates back to the early 1900s when the first cones were sold at the Coney Island amusement park in New York. It then spread to the greater state of New York and on to Milwaukee, St. Louis and Kansas City. Milwaukee alone has over 60 frozen custard shops!
